Bridget Gartenmayer Leavens, M.Ed

Faculty Support, English as a New Language

Bridget Gartenmayer Leavens is a Kansas native who currently lives in Denver, Colorado. She attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana majoring in Political Science with minors in Intercultural Studies and Justice Education.

She participated in the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program through the University of Notre Dame where she received her Masters of Education while teaching 5th grade for 2 years in Fort Worth, Texas. She then taught English as a Foreign Language for 2 years in Santiago, Chile through the Chile ACE (ChACE) program. During this time she received her English as a New Language certification through Notre Dame’s ENL program. She then moved to Colorado and has been teaching 5th grade at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School for 4 years.

In her free time, she loves to travel, play sports, read, craft, go on hikes, and spend time with her husband, friends, and family.
