St. Joseph's Indian School Welcome Back Parade

(Chamberlain, S.D.) – Staff from all over St. Joseph’s Indian School’s campus and Native Hope turned out for an outdoor parade on Tuesday, August 10, to welcome back 133 first through eighth-grade students. The event started this past year with social distancing, and everyone so enjoyed it that there was no question it would happen again this year.

St. Joseph Indian School Wrap Around Services

(Chamberlain, S.D.) –St. Joseph’s Indian School’s new and returning staff are currently in “busy bee” mode as the start of a new school year is just around the corner. Since July 19, new staff has been engaged in 80 hours of staff training. By the end of the year, their combined in-person instruction will total more than 1,100 hours. All staff comes together on August 2 for an entire week of preparation. Training ensures qualified staff and consistent delivery of wraparound services to the students who attend the school.

St. Joseph’s Indian School Bookmobile Completes Summer Tour

AICSN St. Joseph Bookmobile Wrap

(Chamberlain, S.D.) -- The St. Joseph’s Indian School Bookmobile wrapped up a busy summer on Thursday, July 8. The outreach made stops in 42 communities, zig-zagging the state to serve more than 1,300 children and adults. Forty-one alumni came out to visit with Alumni Liaison and Bookmobile Coordinator Andy Lepkowski and the crew.
