Evaluating the Impact of the St. Edward High School Pre-Engineering Program On Successful Collegiate Engineering Study
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the St. Edward Pre-Engineering Program (PEP) on graduates’ preparation for and success in collegiate engineering study.
Research Questions:
Are students who completed some or all of the PEP courses more likely to choose engineering as a college major when compared to national averages? Do these students successfully persist with collegiate engineering study at rates better than national averages? To what degree are these students self-efficacious in a variety of core engineering disciplines?
