Data Driven Decision Making: Using Data To Inform Classroom Instruction

Purpose Statement:

The purpose of this action research project was to understand how teachers use Developmental Reading Assessment2 (DRA2) test scores to inform their classroom instruction and to identify professional development needs of teachers in the area of literacy.

Research Questions:

  • How are teachers at St. Matthew School currently using the Developmental Reading Assessment2 (DRA2) test scores to inform their classroom instruction?
  • What are the benefits and challenges of ministering, analyzing and using the DRA2 to inform classroom instruction?
  • What are the professional development needs in literacy instruction of teachers at St. Matthew School?
