Enhancing Math Achievement through Common Formative Assessment

Purpose Statement:

To determine if significant student achievement growth would occur -specifically in mathematics- with the implementation of one daily formative assessment in mathinstruction, as well as collaborative teacher reflection.

Research Questions:

1) How does implementing a common formative assessment plan shift teachers’ perspectives and frequency of practice during instruction?

2) Does establishing a school-wide common formative assessment plan increase student math achievement?
