Learning to Read, Reading to Learn

Purpose Statement:

To determine the effectiveness of Learning to Read, Reading to Learn, a program that strives to have every student reading at or above grade reading level by the conclusion of third grade.

Research Questions:

Will providing leveled classroom instruction based on current reading level promote higher achievement as indicated by performance on informal, formal, and standardized assessments? How will the students benefit from assessment and feedback? Will this plan provide insight as to possible adaptations for other grade levels and content areas?
