New Teacher Orientation at Connelly Middle School
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this action research was to examine the essential components of new teacher orientation and induction at Connelly Middle School of the Holy Child.
Research Questions:
1. What did first and second year teachers cite as new teacher orientation week’s strengths and weaknesses?
2. What topics need to be covered during new teacher orientation week in order for teachers to feel prepared for the academic year?
3. What type of support do new teachers need throughout the school year that will enable them to grow as professionals and as members of the school community?
