Perceptions of Gender Roles in an All-Male School
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this action research project was to explore the perceptions of gender roles held by students in an all-male school, Palma School, and determine the impact of an all-male school on these perceptions.
Research Questions:
What perceptions do Palma students have for gender roles in their age group and above their age group?
How do Palma students, in respect to the number of years attending Palma, grade level, religion, and ethnicity differ in gender-role perceptions?
What factors at Palma influence current gender socialization and what changes can be made school-wide to affect these?
