Teacher Needs In Transitioning To A Standards-Based Grading System

Purpose Statement:

The purpose of this action research project was to first assess teacher perceptions of standards-based grading and to then examine the effectiveness of specific steps at the classroom level to best support the teachers and guide Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in the transition to a school-wide, standards-based grading system.

Research Questions:

1) What are the needs of teachers as we transition to standards-based grading?

2) How are these needs best met as we make this transition?
