Impact of Bishop Dunne Early Childhood Center on Teacher Recruitment and Retention
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this action research project was to study the effect of an Early Childhood Development Center(ECC) on teacher recruitment and retention at Bishop Dunne.
Research Questions:
What influence does an ECC have on a teacher’s decision to apply to teach or to stay teaching at a Catholic School? Does an ECC’s presence impact a teacher’s understanding of a school’s mission and Catholic social teaching in a manner that leads them to stay teaching at the school whether they have children in there or not?
