Incorporating Technology in PreK–8 Classrooms

Purpose Statement:

The purpose of this action research project is to determine if teachers will incorporate the use of technology in classroom instruction if they receive support from a competent mentor and are guided by specific benchmarks of achievement.

Research Questions:

The research questions of this action research project include: Will a technology mentoring program increase the use of technology by classroom teachers? What percentage of teachers met the pre-determined monthly benchmarks? Did teachers meet regularly with their mentors for assistance? What common concerns do the teachers share about the integration of technology?
