Student Attitudes toward Assessment
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this study was to explore students' understanding of assessment, how assessment contributes to retention of information and whether students see a connection between regular classroom assessments and standardized testing.
Research Questions:
Do students understand the meaning of assessment, its value and purpose? Do students find that they forget material after they are tested on it? Why do they think this happens? What impact do teachers have on retention? Do they see a connection between regular assessment and standardized tests?
