ACE Teaching Fellows is a two-year Master of Education program offering college graduates the opportunity to serve as full-time teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools, which function as hopeful solutions for children and families across the United States.
Since its inception in 1993, ACE Teaching Fellows has commissioned nearly 2,000 teachers to serve Catholic schools.
The program brings teachers to Notre Dame’s campus for two summers of intensive M.Ed. coursework and sends them to teach in Catholic schools during the school year. During their service, ACE teachers are supported by the pastoral and academic team at Notre Dame and mentor teachers, principals, and superintendents at their diocesan teaching sites. ACE teachers live in small intentional faith communities of 4-8 members to fulfill one of the program’s priorities—that ACE teachers develop their professional skills and personal spirituality in the context of community.
