2019 Lenten Reflections - Palm Sunday

Katie Moran on Sunday, 14 April 2019.

Read this Sunday's Gospel

Before Jesus enters into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, He asks his disciples to retrieve a colt tethered at the edge of town, stating only that “the master has need of it.” He offers no explanation for why the colt is needed, how it will be used, or when it will be back—simply, “the master has need of it.”

True Love Means Teaching Literacy Interventions

on Wednesday, 10 April 2019.

By: Clare Wojda (ACE 23, Corpus Christi)

I’m taking a course called “Culturally Responsive Teaching,” and it’s rocking my world. People throw around the phrase “life changing” all too frequently, but this one makes the cut. I am particularly interested in my place in all of this.

Fr. Lou DelFra, C.S.C. on Sunday, 07 April 2019.

Read this Sunday's Gospel

Kate Schuenke-Lucien M.A., Ph.D. Candidate on Sunday, 31 March 2019.

Read this Sunday's Gospel

The Gospel reading for this 4th Sunday of Lent, the parable of the prodigal son, is likely familiar.

A son leaves home, squanders his inheritance, and returns in shame to the unexpected and infinitely gracious embrace of his father. Against the protests of his loyal son who’s worked at his side all the years his younger brother was partying, the father plans a lavish feast to welcome his lost son home.
