The ACE community gathers most nights for Mass in Dillon Hall’s chapel. This night, our celebrant was Bishop Joseph Tyson of the Diocese of Yakima. Bishop Tyson was in town to give the keynote address earlier in the day to the School Pastors’ Institute.

The leaders of our Notre Dame ACE Academies, our network of 11 schools in Florida, Indiana, and Arizona, gathered the week of June 25 to recharge for the year. The week featured planning, prayer, and reflection.

Mike Agrippina (ACE 25) will be teaching middle school language arts at San Juan del Rio Catholic School in Jacksonville this fall. Here, he’s working with a student at Navarre Middle School as part of his student teaching.

Second-year ACE teachers put on a teaching conference each summer – an afternoon-long series of workshops to help our teachers refine their craft. ACE teachers also put on an annual talent show. Many talents are on display, including singing, dancing, and a hot-dog-eating contest. Here Owen Tuite (ACE 25, Denver) and Jesse Shank (ACE 25, Baton Rouge) battle to a tie by eating nine hot dogs in five minutes.

The STEM Trustey Fellows gather on campus each summer to bring innovative methods of teaching science, technology, engineering, and math back to their schools.
