2020 Lenten Reflections - 2nd Sunday of Lent

“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased;
listen to him.”
When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate
and were very much afraid.
But Jesus came and touched them, saying,
“Rise, and do not be afraid.”

Jesus, you did not bring fear. Just the opposite.
Over and over, you said, "Do not be afraid."
Lord, help us to recognize that in all your awesome power,
you love us so much and ask for love in return, not fear.
