What do you hope to do/accomplish as an ACE Teacher?

My deepest desire is to be the teacher that will make her students feel special, seen, and heard. I want to reflect Christ’s unwavering love and care for each of us to my students.

What experiences at your undergraduate institution helped shape your decision to pursue teaching as a possible vocation?

As a Jesuit Institution, Loyola University Chicago offers many amazing opportunities to seek God and contemplate His will for you--one of these opportunities being Christian Life Community. By being a member and eventual leader of this community, I was able to share myself and my life with others, receiving openness, acceptance, warmth, and love in return. I was able to share my long journey of accepting my vocation as teaching with others who loved and supported me through it all.

How do you hope to grow in your experience as an ACE Ambassador/Intern?

I believe that life is a journey full of change and discovery, in the hope of finding that truest, most genuine self that you were made to be. With that, I believe that, at each and every stop along the way in this search, you are worthy of love. This love can be provided by a good, loving, caring community, which is one of my absolute favorite aspects of the ACE program. As an ACE Ambassador, I hope to share the mission and pillars of ACE, in the hopes of reaching even one student who feels a call in their heart to teach, but doesn't know how they can respond to that call.
