Paul Kennedy, Ph.D.
Adjunct Faculty, ACE Teaching Fellows
Dr. Paul Kennedy is an adjunct faculty member of the ACE Teaching Fellows program and a University Distinguished Teaching Scholar in the Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University. His career in the teaching and learning of mathematics spans 36 years, including 10 years as a secondary mathematics teacher and 26 years as a university mathematics educator. Besides his responsibilities at CSU, Dr. Kennedy has been a member of the graduate faculty of the ACE Teaching Fellows program since 2001.
In the area of scholarship, Kennedy has directed over 15 funded projects totaling over $5 million and published numerous articles centered on the teaching and learning of mathematics. His research focus has been on mathematics achievement and on the use of technology. He has been a national author for HOLT-McDougal Secondary Mathematics since 1990, having co-authored 14 textbooks.
He received his Ph.D. in mathematics education from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
