ACE in the City:
Throughout the 2012-2013 academic year, the Diocese of Palm Beach conducted the Leadership Summit on Catholic Schools with extensive consultation with the Alliance for Catholic Education and education experts from across the diocese. As a result of these meetings, “Strategic Vision 2020: Charting a Course for Excellence” was developed as a way to reinvigorate the Catholic school system in Palm Beach with a direct focus on National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools, published in 2012 by the Center for Catholic School effectiveness, School of Education, Loyola University Chicago, in partnership with Roche Center for Catholic Education, School of Education, Boston College. These standards include: Mission and Catholic Identity, Academic Excellence, Leadership and Governance and Operational Vitality.

The University of Notre Dame Sorin Award for Service to Catholic Schools
Sister Carolyn Dowd has dedicated over 60 years of her life to serving Catholic Schools. She currently works at Sacred Heart School as Director of Admissions in addition to tutoring students after school.
